Puppy Pamper Package
A gentle introduction to puppy grooming across 3 visits
Introducing grooming to puppies aged 14 weeks to 6 months helps them relax and become comfortable with the process. Early exposure builds familiarity and comfort in social situations, and with being handled, touched, and examined, which is crucial for both veterinary visits and future grooming procedures.
Start grooming after their first vaccinations with our Puppy Pamper Package to gain confidence with being groomed and ensure they're at ease in the salon environment as well as at home. It’s also the perfect time to introduce you and your pup to teeth brushing.
With our introduction package, your puppy will graduate with a photo and certificate, toothpaste and brush to carry on dental hygiene at home and a voucher for 10% off his or her first groom. Contact Us for more information and pricing.
1st Visit - 30 minutes
Your puppy will be introduced to me and the salon. They'll start by having a good sniff around and get used to the smells and sounds of the equipment and products. Once, they’ve settled, they'll play and become familiar with being handled, including their paws and perhaps having a brush. I’ll introduce them to puppy toothpaste and having their mouth touched. Of course, lots of fuss, play and snuggles to create positive reinforcement and develop a bond.
2nd Visit - 45 minutes
3rd Visit - 60 minutes
Includes everything in the first visit, especially the fun and cuddles, but also includes some more sights and sounds of the salon such as the noise of the dryers and clippers.
They will also spend a few minutes in a dry bath to build familiarity. We’ll build up getting used to having the paws held and nails looked at, as well as getting them more familiar with toothpaste and having their teeth touched.
Plus 15 minutes with you at the end
Finally, your puppy will get a bath in a special puppy shampoo and blow dry and mini groom which includes a face, feet and hygiene trim if needed, nails clipped, and a spritz of cologne.
I will also spend time with you when you collect your pup to show you areas to watch out for when brushing and grooming at home. How you can avoid matting and keep your dog’s fur healthy and looking great.
